About MindVR

Vinson Hudson is a co-founder of MindVR and serves as its head of audio.

Before becoming a co-founder in 2014, Vinson was MindVR’s chief engineer and was responsible for all of the company’s recordings, including management of MindVR’s recording artist relations, live performance activities, service and support of all entertainment relationships.

Vinson also headed MindVR’s division of special projects and played a key role in the continued development of strategic relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.

Projects include Cardi B & The Migos sound recordings for Virtual Reality Video production, Blues legend Filmore Slim recordings, Live Recordings for legendary R&B group Con Funk Shun, and the restoration & mastering of Vince Guaraldi’s original Peanuts (Charlie Brown) soundtrack for Lee Mendelson Productions.

Prior to joining MindVR, Vinson was president and owner of London Lab Studio and was responsible for the audio engineering duties, co-producing and delivery of final masters for music producers and major label signed recording artists. London Lab Studio launched the successful careers of Bohemia & Jasmine Sandlas for Universal Music Group and Sony Music.

Previous to his work at London Lab Studio, Vinson was the chief engineer of a recording studio on a private estate. The owner became a good friend and an investor of London Lab Studio after Vinson landed an opportunity to score the soundtrack for the movie “Roth”. “Roth” was to be a follow up film to the football film “Any Given Sunday” written by Jamie Williams and directed by Oliver Stone. “Roth” production is currently on hold by the studio…

Vinson spent 22 years developing a new mastering process based on analog mastering techniques of the late mastering engineer Denny Purcell, which led to the consistent success of mastered music delivered by Vinson of London Lab Studio.

Vinson studied the electric bass and arrangement at Berklee College of Music on Abraham Laboriel (Legendary Bass Player) and Quincy Jones (Legendary Producer & Arranger) scholarships, but later changed his major to Music Production and Engineering after receiving attention and encouragement by a professor for Vinson’s professional sounding dorm-room recorded demos of several student music projects.
